As Garanti Rafineri ve Maden Isletmeleri A.S., we consider occupational health and safety to be an integral part of all our operations and a key corporate priority. We embrace protecting the health and safety of our employees, visitors, business partners and all our stakeholders as of our fundamental responsibility.
With the principle of “Occupational Health and Safety First”, we believe that no work takes precedence over human health and safety.
Accordingly, we;
• Identify risks in advance and develop preventive and protective measures;
• Embrace the prevention of occupational accidents and occupational diseases as our primary objective;
• Focus on eliminating hazards at their source and, where this is not possible, minimizing their effects;
• Promote the use of appropriate equipment, practices and protective systems to ensure a safe working environment;
• Foster a strong safety culture through training, awareness and drills;
• Implement systematic planning and continuous improvement to ensure preparedness for emergencies; and
• Develop a shared safety awareness with our suppliers and business partners.
In line with the principles of the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Standard, we continuously improve our occupational health and safety management system and aim to create safer and more sustainable working environments by monitoring our performance.
